As a company, we also strive to make the world a better place for our children. Here are the highlights of what we have achieved so far as well as our commitments for a better future.

Environmental Sustainability

Through our robust work for the planet, we contribute to these SDGs
Reducing single-use plastic waste
We commit to the avoidance of 78 billion single-use plastic bottles by 2025.

Each of our reusable bottles replaces the need for thousands of single-use plastic bottles, whilst also reducing carbon emissions and pollutions.

In 2020 we increased our production of dishwasher safe bottles - 37% of our bottles were dishwasher safe, a figure we expect to grow in the years ahead in order to make the drinking experience even more hygienic while remaining eco-friendly.

Activism: Raising our voice
We are committed to using our voice and brand to advocate for change.

At SodaStream we support social causes through campaigns, social initiatives and financial contributions to NGOs. During 2020, we released our impactful film One Home, One Planet which reached more than 30 million people, sharing the message to stay safe at home while caring for our planet. With this initiative we also contributed to the international NGO WaterAid together with many local initiatives around the globe.

Our packaging
We consider the impact of every component in our designs.

Our packaging is made from recycled cartons, and is already at least 90% recyclable. We’re currently exploring innovative packaging solutions to reduce even more our plastic and paper waste.

Shortening the supply chain
Local CO2 filling stations & operations.

SodaStream currently has seven CO2 filling stations worldwide, and will open its eighth in Japan in 2021. We carefully consider all our station locations and production sites to ensure that the distance between our inputs and end users is as small as possible.
